Easter Bunnies, Easter Eggs, Easter Candy

Happy Easter!

I got to meet the Easter Bunny yesterday, and I was so excited!

I also got to very gently pet some tiny, really cute chicks.

After I got home I colored Easter eggs with Dad.

They were just plain white eggs before I got my hands on them.

Dad showed me how to put them on the dipper, then I took care of the rest of the work.

I had to wait five looooooooong minutes for the eggs to dye.

Then Dad had to show me how to put them in the carton to dry.

The first time I tried to do it, it felt a little tricky getting the egg into the carton, but I got the hang of it.

I ended up with a bunch of beautiful eggs.

Before going to bed Dad read me a book.

I could hardly sleep (well, because I was sick), but when I got up in the morning I was excited to see what the Easter Bunny left for me.

He left candy on the stairs!

And he left candy on the floor!

And he left candy on the table!

And a few other things, too.

I collected all the candy.

I double-checked that there wasn't anything left hiding in the nest on the table.

I had to take a look at my new set of paper dolls.

Then I went on the Easter egg hunt through the house.

Playing Outside

Today was the first day I really got to play outside at my new house.

I focused on exploring my fort/tree house, that I call my chicken house because there's a chicken coop beneath it.

And, no, unfortunately, I do not have chickens as pets... at least not yet.

Throughout the winter, I did get out to help with shoveling and to make snow angels, but with all the layers I had to bundle up in, it was hard to get much running in.

Mom explored the yard while I played, and found these little birds.

I quickly adopted them into my toy collection.

If Mom had have let me, I probably would have played outside all day.
