Happy New Year!

I celebrated the New Year at the Como Zoo. I danced to Radio Disney.

At noon beach balls dropped from the ceiling of the visitor center. It was a lot of fun to watch!

I danced a little more after the ball drop.

Then I moved on to checking out the flowers and plants in the Como Conservatory. But not before I pretended to be a (preening?) owl.

Mom wanted to take some birthday portraits (it was her birthday today), but I didn't feel like cooperating.

I ended my day with a little breakdancing.

Merry (Hipster?) Christmas

Dad called Mom a hipster for putting a teepee up in place of a Christmas tree. Mom called it a good idea because we're moving in a couple of weeks, and we need space to stack boxes starting right after Christmas. 

All I cared about was that Santa knew where to leave all my presents on Christmas morning. 

I got a train set from Santa. 

For a while, I forgot there were even any other presents to open. 

Eventually, I moved on to my stocking. Mmmm. Chocolate.

A flashlight that projects images of animals on the wall...

More chocolate...

Beeswax crayons...

(They're supposed to be more vibrant than regular crayons.)

And some modeling clay.

Hmmh, what presents were in the teepee?

A Richard Scarry book...

New Play-Doh...

I already knew what this was by the sound of it...

Legos!

Oh, and I got a hula-hoop.

I received two really big presents from my grandparents.

From my grandparents in Utah I got...

A Tonka Truck!

And from my grandpa in Canada I got...

A Big Wheel!
