Thunder Bay Day 2

On our second day in Thunder Bay, we went to Fort William Historical Park. The park represents a fur trading post that was once in the area.

I got to feel bear fur and bear claws.

I checked out the hospital, and assured everyone I didn't need sugar lead or bitter almonds.

I watched a fight between the town drunk and the town doctor.

I chased after some chickens.

I watched the cows and tried to chew like them.

Then I went back to the chickens and had a staring contest with one of them.

After our day at the fort, we drove to Kakabeka Falls.

We hiked around, spotting an osprey and an eagle.

And that was the end of that day.

Thunder Bay Day 1

We drove to Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada for the Labor Day weekend to visit my grandparents. We packed a lot into the weekend, and it was a lot of fun.

On Saturday, we started our day at Eagle Canyon Adventures. The park has Canada's longest foot suspension bridge, and it has a zip line.

After we crossed the bridges, Dad rode the zip line, while the rest of us walked to the bottom of the canyon to watch.

After visiting Eagle Canyon, we drove out to Ouimet Canyon. I slept in the car while Mom, Dad, and Grandpa walked out to the viewing platform.

At the end of the day we drove out to a little town called Silver Islet. It used to be a mining town, but is now a vacation spot with various cottages lining the water. Some of the cottages are the original houses the miners lived in.

My First Popsicle

Mom bought some popsicles, and she decided to share one with me. It was my first popsicle. And it was the perfect treat for what may be the last hot day of the summer (it was over 90 degrees today).

I wasn't sure what the popsicle was at first.

I gave it a taste and wasn't sure what to think.

Then I gave it another taste.

And another...

And before I knew it half of it had dripped down my shirt and onto my legs!

I decided I liked it, a lot.
