Thanksgiving Day Walk

The weather was mild on Thanksgiving Day, so we went for a walk before making dinner.

Lake Camelot has changed a lot in the last few weeks. The leaves are gone from the trees, the grass is yellow, and there's even ice on the water.

We watched geese working their way south land and take off from the lake.

I shuffled through all the fallen leaves with my feet.

And even threw some up in the air.

What a perfect way to spend Thanksgiving.

Thankful List

10. I'm thankful for hugs and kisses. I ask for them a lot, and I give them out a lot.

9. I'm thankful Mom takes me to the park and the pool. They're my two favorite places in the summer.

8. I'm thankful Mom gets crayons out for me almost every day. I really like to color.

7. I'm thankful for fall leaves. They're fun to crunch under my shoes.

6. I'm thankful for all of the fun I have in my Early Childhood Family Education class, even if I complain when Mom goes away.

5. I'm thankful that the coffee table sits close to the couch so I can jump from one to the other.

4. I'm thankful that the bird lets me chase him all around the living room.

3. I'm thankful I can say a lot more words. It's easier to communicate when you can say what you want.

2. I'm thankful for my rocking chair, and I make Mom and Dad rock me every night.

1. I'm thankful for my books. I love to read.

Tracing My Hand

I've gotten bored with scribbling, so I've moved on to learning how to trace my hand. I can actually trace with the crayon around a couple of fingers. I make sure to count as I trace, too. "One, two, three!"

Toddler Bed

I have moved to a toddler bed. Well, sort of.

I have a crib that transitions to a toddler bed, so I'm still sleeping in the same bed. I can just get out of it now.

I'm not sure I like my new bed. It has been hard to adjust to it. Mom and Dad have had to work out some boundaries that help me stay in bed and help them save their sanity. Still, I make sure to work myself up to ear-piercing screams just before I settle into sleep to let Mom and Dad know I'm not happy.

On a lighter note, Mom sat down with me today to do a fun craft. She traced my hands and my arms, then had me glue colored paper over them. The picture is supposed to look like fall trees. Crafts = fun. Bed time = not fun.

Morning Chat with my Stuffed Animals

I sat in my crib this morning with a few of my stuffed animals and had a little chat. By the time Mom got her phone, I had excused a couple of animals from the meeting, but she took this picture of me anyway.

Mom: Do you want to see the picture?

Me (looking at Mom's phone): Cute!!!!
