Happy Halloween!

My costume's theme is Dia de los Muertos.

All pictures were taken at the Ghouls and Goblins Trick-or-Treat event at the MN Landscape Arboretum.

Dia de los Muertos Festival

I visited the Midtown Global Market in Minneapolis yesterday and was surprised to find a celebration of Dia de los Muertos happening at the market. Aztec dancers performed for those visiting the market (I got lucky and had a front row seat). They were dressed in dramatic costumes with long, fancy feathers, and many dancers had their faces painted. I enjoyed watching the dancing and listening to loud drumming. I was even excited when I had the chance to meet one of the dancers.

Tomorrow I'll post pictures of me in my Halloween costume. It was based off of Dia de los Muertos, too! In fact, I had my face painted a lot like the dancer's face I'm next to in the picture above.

This Year's Pumpkin Patch Trip

I've been asking Mom since the beginning of October to take me to a pumpkin patch. Finally, the weather cooperated with a day we had open, so I got to go!

We went to Dehn's Pumpkin Patch in Maple Grove, MN. They have farm animals, a corn pit, a bounce house, a hay ride, and a corn maze, as well as the pumpkin patch.

A Walk in the Woods

I wanted to go to the park today, so Mom took me out for a walk this afternoon.

This is the path we walked down (totally awesome picture taken by ME).

And this is the bucket I used to collect leaves (then dump them out when it got full, then collect more).

Mom took some photos of her own.

While I collected my leaves, Mom "collected" some, too.

Then Mom took pictures of me playing in the leaves.
